Film: Never Let Me Go
With the Oscars right around the corner, I decided to watch a film nominated to decide for myself if it was actually any good. After watching the Social Network, I was really hoping there would be something much better nominated, but I wont get into my hate for that movie. After watching Never Let Me Go, I'm now actually looking forward to the Oscars. Before, it was just about seeing Anne Hathaway host and the pretty gowns on the red carpet. This film is an adaptation of the novel by british author Kazuo Ishiguro. The movie is about three characters Ruth, Cathy, and Tommy who spend their childhood at an english boarding school where they learn that they were gentically designed as clones, and would begin donating their organs before they reach middle age. Sounds strange, I know. While years are passing by, Tommy and Ruth fall in love for a short period of time. That's all I'm going to say, before I give away the whole movie! It's not a strange Sci-Fi movie and it's not a sappy love story, it's the best of both worlds! And it stars Carey Mulligan so you know it's bound to be good.

Style Stalking: Clemence Poesy
Harry Potters Fleur Delacour and more recently known for her cameo on Gossip Girl, Clemence Poesy is showing up on small screens and silver screens everywhere. Her impressive acting skills aren't the only thing catching our eye. Clemence has been showing up to premieres and is seen in this months issue of Marie Claire magazine with her very european and simple style. Everyone can take a cue from Clemence's prim and always classy style.

Beauty Trend Alert: Bold Pink Lips
A major beauty trend this spring, are bold pink lips. Ditch the deep reds and berry shades for Soring, for a punch of bold colour. Hot pink lips can be seen on celebrities like Katy Perry and Natalie Portman, and even made a few appearances on the runway. Hot pink lips were seen at Spring fashion week shows for Cynthia Rowley, Jil Sander, and Diane Von Furstenburg. If you can't wait to try out this look, wear it now to add a pop of colour to your winter wardrobe.

What I'm loving...
I've definitely been neglecting this blog. With an internship and full time school, there isn't much time to post. But, after meeting Jeanne Beker today, who is the reason I ever became interested in a fashion journalism career, I feel the urge to post even more! and I will put up my Jeanne Beker interview and photo. But for now, here are a few of the items I've been loving this month (so far.):
OPI Katy Perry Collection 'Teenage Dreams'- If there was such a thing as a neautral glitter, this would be it! The glitter shows up great on your nails, and it's just the prettiest pink!
Michael Kors Fulton Open Toe shoes- I love these new flats! I just wish spring would hurry up, because I'm pretty sure I'll be wearing these non stop!
Soft waves- I'm loving the 70's trend right now, and that includes the hair. I've been curling my hair with a 1/4 inch curling iron and then brushing it out, to get the look of soft waves.
L'Oreal Elnett hairspray- Normally I hate hairprays, I could never find one that wasn't sticky or made my hair feel crunchy, L'Oreal Elnett is a light hairspray that still keeps your hair looking great all day long. The only thing that isn't so great, is the smell!
Marc Jacobs Daisy- Yes, I know there is a new version of Daisy called Daisy Eau so Fresh, which is a light spring scent, but I love the original Daisy scent so much that I just couldn't be bothered to try the new one.
Bed Head Dumb Blonde Shampoo- Finally, a purple shampoo. All blondes know that to keep your hair from going brassy it's best to use a purple shampoo, if only they weren't so hard to find!
'If you have to cry go outside' by Kelly Cutrone- For anyone who aspires to make it in the fashion industry, this book should be your bible! It's incredible how smart Kelly Cutrone is, and she certainly is one powerful bitch!
