IMATS Koren from EnKore makeup and Kandee Johnson!

On the weekend I went to IMATS! I was filming for school but still managed to buy a travel brush set, makeup forever's brush cleanser, and NYX jumbo eye pencil in Cottage Cheese! I also got the chance to do a quick interview with Koren from EnKore Makeup, I love his YouTube videos, so it was a lot of fun talking to him about YouTube, Makeup, and advice for future makeup artists! We also met Kandee Johnson when we were on our way out, I'll attach a picture. Her mom joined us for the photo because we recognized her from some of Kandee's makeup tutorial videos, haha! I also talked to Tom Savini, he was the makeup artist from Dawn of the Dead and Friday the 13th, I wish I could do special effects makeup! Heres a photo and my video coverage from the event:

Beauty: Lip & Cheek Stains

The perfect beauty product for fall is a lip stain, usually in the form of a marker, lip stains give you a matte finish with adding natural flush to your lips. Some brands also come in mini bottles that can be used universally for both your lips and cheeks, such as Benefit Cosmetics Benetint, you can even add a little gloss for some extra shine and moisture. Here are a few products that will be a great addition to your makeup bag throughout the fall months leading into winter:

Benetint, $28, sephora.com

Stila Lip & Cheek stain, $24, sephora.com

and some drugstore options..

Revlon's 'Just Bitten', approx. $9 where Revlon products are sold.

Cover Girl's Outlast, approx $8 where Cover Girl products are sold.

no more eating beets for the perfect lip stain!

This whole show was to die for.

And my favourite from the show...

Canadian born, but New York based bridal and gown designer Romona Kaveza, presented a collection that made every girl in the audience plan their future weddings while the models walked graciously down the runway in flowing couture gowns.

Keveza told the Toronto Sun "my spring 2011 collection features a return to my early days of designing evening wear and is inspired by an aristocratic soiree of the sixties and is an ode to Audrey Hepburn and New York high society."

The ode to Audrey Hepburn was first present when the show started off with clips of Breakfast at Tiffanys, which started off the mood for the collection. Immediately after, black lace gowns and long flowing chiffon birdal gowns came down the runway with models sporting Holly Golightly inspired updos.

Being a big Breakfast at Tiffanys fan and loving the theme of romantic and sophisticated gowns, this show was definitely my favourite.

And...although I love the dresses in the spring 2011 runway show, I can definitely picture my self wearing this lovely black dress if I ever say 'I DO'.
